The wine production from the 3 hectare (7.5 acre) vineyard takes advantage of the unique arid Australian, alpine climate and employs scientifically based yet natural and ‘organic’ vineyard methods to produce a variety of red and white wines. The process used (traditional to Transylvania) is organic and chemical free. Transylvania Winery is also the only producer of the rare and sweet ‘icewine’ with a nose of lychee nuts, taste of tropical fruits, with shadings of peach nectar and mango and a clean, dry finish. There is also a 3 hectare (7.5 acre) orchard producing sour cherries for production of cherry brandy liqueurs.
